A shirtdress is a key style choice for living your life in New York City. It’ll take you anywhere. This look was one of the first slew of shoots I did back in 2016 when I was dipping a toe into this project idea. I had originally imagined the copy for these as bizarre 2nd or 3rd person stories. A combination of witty gossip girl-esque doublespeak and glossy magazine copy. Things like: Turning the streets of TriBeCa into her own personal playground, our girl takes a spin in a NYC Staple like a punched up shirt dress, in search of a little bit of magic amongst the industrial streets.
You know. Nonsense like that. But I like the idea of telling more in depth narratives with these fashion stories. What’s the point of Fashion if not to tell a story?
