Casual Stripes
I have this thing about being a tourist in your own city. Especially in a Place like New York. I’ve lived here over ten years, but you could live here your entire life and still leave parts of the city unexplored. I had initially concepted this look as “how to pretend your on vacation in Europe when you’re actually not“, since it was a busy summer and I wasn’t able to travel really (2019, and wow we had no idea what was coming,) but it feels a bit more relevant now, even as travel is easing up and restrictions are beginning to lift. And Now that it’s summer, and hot as hell in New York, looking (and staying) cool is harder than ever. Stripes are always a way to go. Along with some classic white sneaks, and a Panama hat I bought in Venice a few years ago, welcome to staycation in the city tourist season.
