Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Even thought the forecast for New York is pretty dismal for this weekend, you can still make the most of the weekend, especially by serving looks. I shot this look on a similarly bad weather weekend in montauk a few years ago, at one of the best places, Gurney’s Montauk. I F*#$%ing love that place. It’s everything. And despite the weather, you can still serve looks. Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, but it’s not always warm enough, which means you need easy, breezy, sporty classics. American Sportswear a la Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein are classics for a reason. I’ve already talked about my love of my trench coat, but a classic tan one will last you years. Yes, Years. Also, this is silky shortsleeved Tory Burch jumpsuit was a purchase I made on a whim a few years back. But it has served me well. It’s so easy and looks amazing with sneakers, espadrilles, booties and sandals. It’s truly a hero piece. And this Staud Bag was all the rage a few years back, but the nautical rope details really do scream summer. Plus it’s actually really easy to travel with. Whether your prefered mode of travel is Blade or the Jitney of your friend’s parent’s car, you’ll definitely make a stylish splash into the weekend.
