There’s something about these busy days of September. They don’t have the same languidly that I think of as with August. The weather is still nice - glorious - with the low humidity and light sun. But I find myself rushing around, reconnecting after the summer, these are the days when everyone is back in the city, ready to to business, and head back to school. These are very back to school vibes aren’t they? It makes me reach for easy looks that can withstand me running to appointments all day, but won’t necessarily feel depleted or off by the time dinner rolls around and there hasn’t had a minute to head home and don some after dark glamour.
Enter : the Utility outfit. Utilitarian Fashion has a peculiar background. It comes into ‘style’ every couple of years, and is sometime interchangeably used with military detailing but there’s always a place for the sleekness and professionalism of it. I suppose it’s a good lasting legacy in this case. You have your marching orders.
