Uptown Nostalgia
There’s something about this point in September that feels like a rebirth. Is it that less intense weather? the back to school vibes? The resumption of “normal life“ (Or whatever that means)? Maybe all of your friends who were traveling leaving you alone for a Cruel Summer are back, and want to get together again. Whatever it is, the onset of the month just seems to be brimming with possibilities. After all, life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall. I loved this 50’s inspired silhouette that felt like a perfect summer transition piece. Because let’s be real, New Yorker’s dress for the weather. Or else. And as much as i just said, September 1 doesn’t automatically mean the humidity goes away or that the temperature drops. As much as I wish it would. But this outfit felt like a throwback, appropriate for swanning around 5th avenue at Bergdorf’s and the Plaza Hotel, both iconic NYC landmarks. Cheers!
