These last hazy days of summer, always have me feeling like I need to pull out all the stops, wear the summer clothes I bought and haven’t worn yet. Or, wear things in a new way. I wore this Zimmerman dress for a birthday party of mine, with heels obviously, but that look, coupled with the sexy cutouts, seems too much, right? I always like to make it more daytime with sport accessories. Like, such a feminine dress feels cooler with a backwards ball cap and sneakers. That sort of duality is something I’ve always loved exploring in fashion. So, a few summers back I took this look out for a spin on the west side highway, followed by lunch at Grand Banks right after. It’s one of my consistently favorite places since I discovered it maybe five years ago (It was my go to spot for Summer Fridays when I was still at Condè Nast). But it’s a perfect spot still for an excellent lobster roll on a boat - and you know how much I love boats - with a view of the water and a cocktail. Perfect summer afternoon, no?
