Nautical but make it Winter
With an unexpected cold snap the last few days, I’m taking the chance to re showcase one of my favorite things I’ve been thinking about, from a fashion sense, at least.
First off, I LOVE all things nautical. I’m not particularly sure why, maybe it has to do with all those summers in Maine or something, but it’s a go to summer detail for me. Hence this amazingly ridiculous and extra Chanel bag shaped like a life preserver. It’s SO extra. And I love it. That whole Chanel Resort 2019 Collection was a story come to life. I remember seeing this bag and becoming the literal incarnation of the heart eyes emoji. But, it does seem a bit sad to only have something like that only able to work IRL a few warm months out of the year. So here’s my twist on how you do Nautical elements for winter, which has been fun to do with outdoor dining this year. I shot this look on a cold spring day in March of 2019 by the west side highway. The girl wearing this look is someone who is excited, confident, maybe spends her summers on a yacht in the northeast, but likes Paris a little too much ( but not Emily in Paris! This look was pre-that show coming to Netflix). She’s still a New York girl though. She just really like the idea of being on a boat, and singing that Lonely Island song while she does.
XOXO
