All That Glitters...

The magic of uptown and Gala season. And when will a picture outside the venerable Plaza Hotel never not be a Main Character Energy moment? Seriously. Add in a floaty gold dress? And walking up Fifth Avenue, as the leaves fall, a glamorous coat thrown off your shoulders, just so? Tell me you don’t hear the soundtrack swelling in the background. I wore this to a gala about two years ago, and I still get people asking me about this dress (sadly it was a rental, but people always remember a spectacular dress). And it’s a good rule of thumb in general, to have fun with what you wear even if you’re going to a Upper East Side gala that's on the bit more formal side. I always like to have a look. A character. A point of reference that makes each time I attend one of these different. Different is fun. And Fun is what makes the world go round.
